ABOUT THE BRAND
Terezie Trusinová clothing collection – Czech craftsmanship
“You are so beautiful.”
The TEREZIE TRUSINOVÁ collection combines the skilled craftsmanship of Czech seamstresses with distinctive Italian-inspired design. Premium stretch fabrics, innovative technology and exceptional construction complete the brand's signature. Our aim is to provide the final piece in the mosaic of a woman's individual needs: to celebrate her femininity and strength and help her feel truly herself at the beach or pool.
Terezie Trusinová has devoted her entire career to fashion. After years working for large companies, she founded a brand under her own name. Her expertise combines a deep understanding of customers' needs, traditional tailoring, respect for nature and a timeless aesthetic that lasts beyond a single summer season.
TEREZIE designs her swimwear in Italy and works with leading Czech shoemakers, jewellers and designers. She brings Italian attention to detail together with Czech creativity, experience and craftsmanship. From this meeting of two worlds come collections for discerning women and girls around the world.
About Terezie

“Creative work is how I express my approach to life.”
Terezie grew up surrounded by the traditions of tailoring and lingerie making. Her mother was production manager at Triola in Litoměřice, then one of the largest textile factories in Czechoslovakia.
As a teenager, she worked there every summer, helping in the cutting room and watching pattern makers who had trained during the First Republic in the salons of Hana Podolská or Oldřich Rosenbaum. “Stories of their masters sewing for Adina Mandlová or Lída Baarová made my work feel special. I learned from them how to improvise and find a solution in any situation. Luxury fabrics and advanced technologies were not available then, but they were wonderfully resourceful.” Their craftsmanship and creativity inspired her and showed her that creative work could express her approach to life.
Although Triola's pattern makers continued the finest tailoring traditions, many managers at the time spoke no foreign language and owed their positions mainly to Communist Party membership. That changed after 1989. Terezie, newly an adult, left for Prague to study business economics and management at the University of Economics, while her mother became director of the Litoměřice factory. In 1991, she privatised it with five other partners.
This became Timo, the well-known Czech lingerie and swimwear brand. After graduating, Terezie joined as a marketing specialist and soon became creative manager. For seven years, she led the creation of lingerie and swimwear collections, helping shape the brand's new style.
In 2003, Terezie returned from maternity leave and became product manager, then CEO of Timo four years later. Her team was the first in the Czech Republic to introduce an M-cup bra, followed by Dream Bra and Beauty Bra, which soon became bestsellers.
“I have spent my entire career creating lingerie, swimwear, nightwear and post-surgery lingerie collections,” says Terezie Trusinová. “I always strive to combine the DNA of traditional craftsmanship with modern, advanced technology, focusing above all on comfort and timeless style.”
After many successful years leading Timo, Terezie could have rested on her achievements. Instead, creativity inspired her next step: in 2020, she sold her stake in Timo and decided to create a swimwear collection under her own name.
Our story
“My dream seemed foolish, but I knew I couldn't live without this work.”
Where better for the idea of a first independent swimwear collection to begin than in the land of beautiful Mediterranean beaches? “Italy has always felt like my destiny,” says Terezie Trusinová. “During university, I worked there every summer. I kept wondering why Italian fashion was a worldwide phenomenon. Between Milan and Lake Como are some of the oldest fabric-printing workshops, with knowledge passed down through generations. Lombardy is a centre for the world's finest lingerie and swimwear fabrics. Milan alone has around ten fashion schools teaching the highest levels of tailoring.”
While working for Timo, Terezie found reliable suppliers there. After she left in 2020, one invited her to represent his company in Eastern Europe. She seriously considered the offer, but it competed with her dream of creating her own brand and collections. “The idea seemed foolish at that moment. The pandemic was at its peak and many businesses were closing. My husband and sons supported me, but many people tried to discourage me. It was a real dilemma.”
Still undecided, she visited a swimwear fair in Cannes, where a meeting changed her life. “I met Piera, an elegant, spirited woman with Italian charm. She showed me her swimwear collection with such love and spoke so passionately about her company and work. I realised then that I couldn't be without this work, and how much I missed it.”
A few days later, Terezie made her decision and politely declined the representation offer. “Three weeks later, I was sitting in Piera's office in Milan, discussing how she could help me make my dream happen.”
The Mediterranean is therefore woven into the brand's origins, and its first collection, launched in 2022, has Italian roots too. Terezie worked with Italian designers and fabric manufacturers. “Working in Italy showed me the extraordinary opportunity to enrich Czech craftsmanship with Italian style and attention to detail, and their ability to balance sensuality and elegance. I create my collections within this magical meeting of two worlds,” says Terezie Trusinová.
